Sure, that's fine. No particular hurry, I just wanted to let you know
about the current plans, as well as check if you have any concerns.

Let's see what's more fashionable next year :-) But seriously, this
will stick around for a while.

Yes, /etc/udev/rules.d/ is still considered and preferred. In fact the
current split now makes it easier to customize: Packages only ship
stuff in /lib/udev/rules.d/ and thus don't have to mess with dpkg
conffile questions, and the user can add her own rules to /etc/.

In fact I think that except for some "old files" cleanup in postinst
(which we need to keep around until the squeeze release) we don't need
any maintainer script at all any more. \o/
