Well, it ain't that easy ;-)
The process (becoming a DD) is quite long (in time terms) and involves
a lot of steps.
Anyhow, feel free to apply to become a Debian Maintainer (DM) first
and a Debian Developer (DD) then.
Probably, given that you're so interested in packaging for Debian, you
could refer to [1] for more information about sponsoring and stuff.
You need to find a sponsor for reviewing your package and uploading to
official archives. Only DDs can do that.
Otherwise, you could wait and give me the time to spend some (spare)
time on it for reviewing and preparing it following the Debian Policy.
I've already got a bunch of sponsors for my packages. Wouldn''t be
hard to persuade one of them to sponsor also this one ;-)
