[Pkg-phototools-devel] darktable 1.6 for Jessie ?

Dear darktable maintainer,

I salute your efforts to bring this great tool to the debian domain. 
Thank you.

I would like to propose upgrading the darktable package from current 
release 1.4.2-1 to 1.6 or beyond.

The reason for particular interest to this release level is, that it 
features support for x-trans image sensor class.  This is important, as 
it opens a whole category of advanced imaging.  Camera products such as 
Fujifilm X100 use this advanced sensor technology.

I noticed, that there debian package for Experimental is based on 
release 1.6.3-1, but I have not identified a backport for Jessie (Testing).
