[php-maint] patches now cleanly apply for sarge/sid php4/php5

just to throw an update...

the problem was patch being called with --ignore-whitespace causing the
patch in question to fail.  i massaged the patch so that it wouldn't
(just adjusted a few line numbers), and then fixed another minor problem
with the imap patch and now everything seems to build.  anyone mind an
upload in the next 24-48 hours?
