likewise i prefer dh7, though there's a number of pear/pecl packages
using dh-make-php/cdbs--so you will get conflicting opinions on this.

so jftr i'm no fan of cdbs but i'd also review packages that followed this
practice based on the argument of conforming with the masses... though
i'd admittedly be less able to offer concrete advice for any required fixes.
