Right.

I'm sorry that it breaks your package (since you are not the cause of
the problem - upstream is), but I really do think that 6 years should
be enough for anybody to do a rewrite.

Setting severity to grave (as I have done)? This should ensure your
package will be dropped from testing.

You can also request removal from unstable if you think the -ng
version is in far future.
