Hi,

What's above has nothing to do with DTC. I would suggest you to write to
pkg-php-maint at lists.alioth.debian.org which takes care of the packaging
of PHP in Debian.

I know there has been some work about that (I remember reading it in
this list), but I can't remember what was the final solution which was a
bit complicated. Maybe having a look into the current SID package will help.
