It looks like you forgot to push the upstream/… tag, and your 1.0.0-
packaging is not based on the 1.0.0 upstream tag. You may wish to have a
closer look at the gbp documentation, I believe what you’re willing to
use a layout as documented here:

Since you may need to rebase the master branch to fix it, you could take
this opportunity to tidy up all those merges and rewrite history
properly (I wouldn’t advise to do so if the package were already public,
but it may be better to restart fresh with the right foot here).
