Cloning this bug as RC: if people are actually using or depending on
this package, now may be a good time to say so before it gets removed
(in the mean time, that should make it automatically get removed from
testing once all the release scripts are back on business).

I intend to follow up with a removal request in a few months if nobody
objects (but feel free to beat me to it).
