Yeah, xinetd installed.<br><br>As I understand proftpd package don't have inetd in package dependencies but notes about inetd/xinetd way of installation.<br> <br>And after xinetd installation and dpkg-reconfigure proftpd still don't working(this looks like a bug for me :)<br>

</div>Sorry I did not note that: you are on your own with xinetd configuration<br>
and checking if it is correctly done is quite tricky. The script does<br>
a reasonable check sbout that, possibly wrong.<br>
