I finally got some bandwidth to look at this today. It appears the Git
repository on Alioth (I'm looking at
https://alioth.debian.org/scm/?group_id=100988 here) is empty.

I presume http://anonscm.debian.org/cgit/collab-maint/protobuf.git is
still the current canonical source? Should this get moved over to the
dedicated Alioth project?
