Hi,
sorry this took so long - christmas has been rather overwhelming this year! 
The packaging for 0.24.1 is now available in git on alioth - 
http://git.debian.org/?p=pkg-puppet/puppet.git is the url for gitweb, and
see http://wiki.debian.org/Alioth/Git for information on working with the
repositories.

By way of a todo list for me:
 * Make it trivial to run mongrel based puppetmasters. I think this ought to be
   just a simple pair of settings (use mongrel, and ports) in
   /etc/default/puppetmaster

 * Work through the patches Matt applied to 0.23.2 and figure out which
   should go upstream and which might want to be local.
