Hi Zack,

It sounds like this should already be available in python-apt. However
I have never managed to actually find out what the API of python-apt
is, so I can't say for sure.

Also, python-apt apparently has two APIs. One is absolutely horrible,
and the second is apparently a lot more pleasant to use.

However, if python-apt doesn't have it, or it is not a good interface,
then I wouldn't have a problem with python-debian implementing or
wrapping it.
