Great work, I've checked it, and have only the following comments:

1. The dependancy on menu is a problem for us, is it really necessary? Can you 
make it a recommend or suggest? Of course I can patch this out in Ubuntu but 
I'd rather keep the delta to a minimum.

2. Can you pls. change my email to norsetto at ubuntu.com?

3. I added this to the clean rule:

#clean-up files left by upstream installer
       rm -f helper_launcher.sh rutilt.desktop Makefile_cst \
               include/StaticSettings.h

4. su-to-root: we can't use this in Ubuntu, but never mind, I will have to 
make an ubuntu specific patch.
