Ralink's driver has not matured but simply rotted, as kernels have
changed and Ralink has basically abandoned it (and it was a port from
Windows to start with, which is not a good basis for a Linux driver).
There is a new driver developed by the rt2x00 project (rt2400pci), but
since the controller is no longer available, it has received limited
testing. However, if you would like to work with the Ralink packaging
team in testing it, we might be able to get somewhere.
