I did some tests and I've discovered that it's not remmina failing to
connect to Windows 7 but it's freerdp2 not doing so properly.

As a test, I've installed freerdp2-x11 and tried to connect to a Windows
7 Ultimate VM I have here and the result is:

$ xfreerdp /v:192.168.122.137 /u:mfv
[15:12:02:336] [8650:8651] [ERROR][com.freerdp.core] - freerdp_set_last_error ERRCONNECT_TLS_CONNECT_FAILED [0x00020008]
[15:12:02:336] [8650:8651] [ERROR][com.freerdp.core.connection] - Error: protocol security negotiation or connection failure
[15:12:02:336] [8650:8651] [ERROR][com.freerdp.client.x11] - Freerdp connect error exit status 1

Because of this, I'm reassigning this bug report to freerdp2.

Mike, could you please double-check this?
I can confirm that the issue doesn't show up while connecting to a
Windows 10 machine via RDP, using the same environment.
