Hi,

putting the required modification into a non-translatable variable is
not really necessary here, since there are just a few possible cases. I
just did it for code reuse in the postinst, and didn't think of the
translations :( Apologies.

I should definitely break the cases into separate templates. What's the
best way to proceed? Should we halt this review process until I have
the new templates ready?

Your suggestions are definitely improvements, thanks. I did catch a
typo, though:
