That's weird. Do you have request-tracker3.6 (or the old request-tracker3,
for that matter) also installed?  

Please check that your filesystem isn't full.

Can you still reproduce this? If you can, please send the output of

# env SHELLOPTS=xtrace dpkg -r request-tracker3.4
