The tag indicates that I cannot reproduce the problem.

More time, energy, and inspiration.

Upstream has suggested that this might be a regression from 3.6 to
3.8, since the username parsing did change then; however it is obviously
fairly situation/configuration specific if so, since 3.8 has been
out for nearly four years.
