Ok, I will try to be more correct next time. I have two small
questions just to be clear that may also be useful for other n00bs on
the team like myself:

a) what's the best way to know where the "immutable/mutable" line is
in the changelog? so that i don't accidentally merge "frozen" entries
again in the future...
is is just to make sure you are set to "sid" and try apt-get update
and download / install it?
or is it better to just look for the most recent tags in the svn repos?

b) what is the best way to regenerate control from control.in? and is
there any way we
can avoid having both checked into the repos? maybe some clever
script or option somewhere? i keep making that mistake of editting
control instead of control.in and others do too it would be so much
easier if only we had one or the other. i do not understand enough to
tell if this is possible.

Thanks for any info you can provide on these finer details,

Rudi
