A package has already been contructed by me in the Debian/Ruby team
repository.  The only reason for it's stalling is that we have to list
per file the upstream author and the license (as was decided by the
debian-legal team), which is quite a work for over a 100 source files. 
I have asked before for some assistance on our list but to no avail.  If
you would like to help out that would be greatly appreciated.  This
package is a key member of libruby-extras but didn't make it to Etch on
time unfortunately.
