Yeap, I know... I think it will feel like when linux 2.6.0 was released.

But is the last 2 or 3 months I haven't seen too many breakable
changes. There is always the C break (RSTRING()->len to RSTRING_LEN()
and RSTRING()->prt to RSTRING_PTR()), replace the deprecated things and
test.

So.... can I ask this again in 5 days from now? ;)

See, I just asking this because I'm trying to build some apps with ruby
1.9. But it really sucks to do this in Debian, because some packages
support 1.9 and others no. So I need to install some things using hated
rubygems (that I really hate to use), and my system becomes totally
messed up with packages and gems working together.

And yes again, for sure it's better to work this out with upstream
maintainers.
