Umh...

For those of us less involved, would you care to ellaborate on the
constructs that are most likely to fail? 

Now, I guess we will have to change debian/control, rebuild and
reupload all of the *ruby1.8 packages... This does not sound
particularly like fun :-( Anyway, we will have to face this
transition, but could we think of a way to be less sensible to this?
i.e. the Python people ended up doing away with the *2.2/*.2.3
packages they used to have, and it's never been an issue with
Perl... Could we push Ruby that way? Yes, I know this is a Rapidly
Changing Language, but still... A good xmas wish ;-)
