Actually, no. Once you're in the alioth group, you should be able  to
initialize the git repo at:

git+ssh://git.debian.org/git/pkg-running/<package>.git

Never did that myself as the git repos were initialized by either Noèl
or Ralf

You should alredy try to login to Alioth by SSH:
