Yes, your understanding is correct. I did expand the To: list because
I was pretty sure this was related to samba and its use of ucf.

I was just missing the big about the timestamp being altered when a
conffile is handled by ucf but that's logical: *you*'re the one who
added ucf to samba, Steve, not me...:-)

Your answer makes sense to me so I don't really see a bug there, which
is what I wanted to confirme.
