This is incredibly likely to be either something documented somewhere
in the release notes.....or fixed later in 3.3 versions of samba...or
3.4 even.

In short, I don't really see the added value from the Debian
maintainers here (and in #535043) except giving you the false
impression that we will investigate that problem in deep...which is
certainly not true.

I really believe such issues should first be discussed in upstream
mailing lists before reporting them quite blindly against the Debian
package.

Sorry for being so negative but that the reality, indeed.
