[Pkg-samba-maint] Use dpkg-vendor?

I just learned about the dpkg-vendor command.

As, in samba source packages, we do patch upstream source to include
our vendor information and I guess that Ubuntu patches this patch to
include its own vendor information, couldn't we use a dpkg-vendor call
instead of hard-coding "Debian" there?

I have no idea as of now how to do this...this is more a reminder
about thinking to this later..:)
