Probably a link-local fe80:: address?  You will get those automatically any
time the ipv6 kernel is loaded.  I guess that can be a concern if you have
firewall rules in place and don't handle ipv6.

Disabling the ipv6 kernel module would do the job, I believe.  This will
probably be less feasible as time goes on, so if there are places where ipv6
handling is deficient in Debian, we should address those rather than trying
to work around them with module removals - but as you say, this isn't really
related to samba.
