Steve mentioned me on IRC that he though he already objected earlier
and it was a question of reaching a consensus.

I don't really remember seeing this in the mailing list. We probably
had this discussion in private on IRC (we often have private
discussions on IRC, or sometimes on #samba-technical....given that
most of the work for samba packages is done by the two of us).

I don't want to be disruptive and rude (and I definitely don't want to
be it with Steve...). What I really would like is for us to have this
discussion, here preferrably, before it's too late anyway to consider
3.5 in squeeze.

So, of course, I'll hold any upload intent until we have this
discussion...at least for one week or so. Please consider r3414 as a
preparation for something that could happen or not (I voluntarily did
everything in one single commit so that it's easy to revert back).
