more than the core server team.

Yes, in my experience, early Samba releases can be quite buggy. 9.10
(Karmic) released with 3.4.0 and that triggered quite a few updates
before we could reach something relatively free of regressions (~
3.4.5). It's always a difficult balance to strike between stability and
maintainability...
