Yes, this needs fixing in upstream Samba. The Debian patch is correct
IMO.

Please don't include Debian revisions in symbols files. Lintian will
also warn you about this I believe.

Signed-Off-By doesn't really have a meaning in this context, I think
it would be better to avoid it.
