Hello,

Sorry, my intention was not to press no one. I know how hard it is to maintain a Debian package.

I didn't know that Jelmer Vernooij was alone on this task.

I was just asking a question.

The bug #808769 is one of the bugs that prevents recent versions of Samba to enter Testing since Samba 4.1.7 on 2015-02-25.

Thanks for your information.

Hello,
You know, some maintainers of the package are also Samba Team members,
so I suspect they're perectly aware of release dates and important
bugs.
I have no idea whether the bugs you mention are important or
not....but I suspect that an upload of Samba 4.3.5 will happen soon
and 4.4.0 will eventually be uploaded once released.
Still, Jelmer Vernooij, who mostly maintains samba packages alone,
recently called for help in maintaining the packages. Samba package
maintenance is a big work to do (I've done that for years and, at that
time I wasn't alone to do so) so I suggest not pressuring up the samba
package maintainers too much. TIA.
