Hi, I am glad someone is interested in that. I am the maintainer of
petsc4py, slepc. petsc and petsc4py should be working out of the box.
The problem with slepc2.3.3 is that it's license is such bad, that it
cannot even be in debian non-free. The last version of slepc, that can
be in non-free is slepc2.3.2, but when I patched it to compile against
petsc2.3.3, it compiles, but all examples segfaults. I wrote to slepc
upstream and they are very helpful and offered me to help - but I
don't have time at the moment to do that. Any help is appreciated.
