I see. This means that you are effectively maintaining a branch for
arpack++. If I understand correctly, you have started a new version
numbering for your branch (2.1 and later 2.2). Am I right?
The problem here is that you kept the same name of the pristine project
(arpack++). To add to the confusion, debian/copyright indicates the
original URL and do not mention your branching work. Wouldn't it be better
to rename the package and make the new "upstream" tarball available in the
pkg-scicomp web area at Alioth?
