IIRC I was indicated to use upstream's internal development version that was not
on their public websites yet. Didn't I describe this somewhere in debian/{copyright,
README.Debian,README.source}? Strange.

Andrea Milani <milani at dm.unipi.it> was my contact. They felt that my patches
(for DFSG compatibility) were too intrusive to be accepted lightheartedly and did
not want their software to be distributed as such anywhere, so the packaging stalled.

Upstream at the time strongly preferred to have everything in one directory and
did not like too much to deviate from that concept ... which truly is not so bad,
particularly when having everything on one's home directory and only that single
project to work on.

Well. I did not buy my telescope and am not hunting asteroids myself, so I
thought I should just leave the work I started for someone in Pisa to continue
with closer contact to the upstream developers, eventually.

Best regards,

Steffen
