I was afraid of that.  I dislike that fact that Debian specific changes
are hidden in the .diff.gz file.  Also, keeping patches in debian/patches
make them browsable at http://patch-tracking.debian.net/

Perhaps there is a way to transform the changes in the debian branch of a
Git repository into a series of quilt patches to be put in
debian/patches. Do you know anything about this?
