Ok, heads up: we're back on Gareth's (relicensed) implementation, and 
I've updated this for SDL-1.2, too. We aren't going to do a formal 
SDL-1.2.16 release, but if you guys want to package up the tip of the 
SDL-1.2 branch from revision control, that's fine with us. We (extremely 
rarely) put a fix into the 1.2 branch, but no serious work goes on there 
now, so it should be considered stable for packaging.

It's a little early for us to do 2.0.5, but yeah, we took _way_ too long 
with 2.0.4 and we don't really want to be in that situation again.

Sam: maybe we call 2.0.5 a small service patch and I'll put all the work 
on ripping up the audio code, etc, into 2.0.6?
