I think I have found the answer by myself, it's probably due to the second
clause (that you did not quote) which says "Redistributions in *binary* form
must reproduce the above copyright notice". When it's a .py file, it
happens automatically because scripts are copied as-is but when it's in a
LICENSE.md file this is usually not the case.
