Request for review: arpon [ITA]

Hi,

I've worked on packaging the new version of arpon.  The git repsoitory
can be found in our usual location:
   git.debian.org:/git/pkg-security/arpon.git
I'd appreciate a review.

Notes/Questions:
* I've used "3.0-ng" as (base for the) upstream version number since
  that's what upstream officially uses as well.  Is that ok or should
  I strip "-ng"?
* I've repacked to remove the "doc" directory from the upstream tarball
  because:
  - It contains the linkedin logo as image.
  - It contains PDFs without an ability to create them.
  Is that ok?  Where is a good place to document the reasons for
  repacking?  I was tempted to write it into the debian/copyright file
  (which contains the "Files-Excluded" control field), but that file
  does not allow comments if I read the specification correctly.
* I've explicitly requested xz compression for the repack; this seems
  like a good idea since the tarball is being repacked anyways and xz
  offers a better compression ratio.
  - Is there a reason not to do that (or is there a reason why this
    isn't the default yet)?
