[Pkg-shadow-devel] Adapting experimental to 4.0.11.1

Yesterday and Saturday, I work on adapting experimental patches for
the 4.0.11.1 source tree.

Nicols, are you OK for me to update the experimental branch with the
new patches.

I had to manually adapt some of these so that they still apply
cleanly, but apart from 442, which I'm a little ibit unsure of, this
was usually trivial changes (patch lines slipped by too much lines).
