Huh, I didn't think it was so near.  That would mean gettint the 2.1
release into Lenny is probably out of question, which is sad.

Thanks for the tip, I installed it, although bpo is still a patchlevel
behind.  Strange nobody misses this from git-bp, at least I can't find
a related bug report.

I'm starting to lean to that, too...  But I'll try to contact the
git-bp developers with these wishes.
