Plans for Shibboleth SP 2.1 debian packages

Sounds like a lot of work. How is it going?

And another question concerning the current backports (2.2.1). There are
unstable Packages for all architectures Debian supports, but the backports
are only available for "alpha, hppa, i386, s390, sparc". We see a growing
need for amd64 packages. Why have these not been backported?
