Dear all,

What are your plans wrt list migrations due to the Alioth shutdown?

https://lists.debian.org/debian-devel-announce/2017/09/msg00004.html

Do you intend to migrate the list to lists.debian.org (if eligible, [1])?
Or to the temporary (!) replacement at alioth-lists.debian.net?
N.B.: This list is mentioned in the Maintainer: field of all
Shibboleth-related packages (which affects bug tracking email
addresses, AFAIK) so something will need to be done one way or the
other.

The list owners have already been asked whether this list should be
migrated to the temporary replacement.
I could reply in the affermative and it seems to me nothing else would
be required from any of you/us going forward -- until the times comes
the replacement will be retired, too.

So maybe a better plan would be to figure out eligibilty for a list on
lists.debian.org and then do the migration only once (instead of
moving to alioth-lists.debian.net now and then having to deal with the
exact same issue in two years time).

Note that I may not be able to perform all of even much of the needed
work myself (esp. archive migration), as I have neither DD nor Alioth
credentials (though the latter could still be aquired, I think). I'm
merely one of the two (Russ being the other one, who possibly needs to
replaced, if I understood his recent post correctly) current list
owners configured directly in mailman on alioth.

Cheers,
-peter
