list migration due to alioth shutdown

So where does Debian expect all those package team mailing lists to go?
I.e., whose problem does Debian intend to make this, making sure
coordination works between Debian Developers, Debian Maintainers and
volunteers trying to help out the Debian project?

Clearly alioth-lists.debian.net is not the answer to this, at least
not if one isn't hell-bent on repeating this excercise in 1-2 years
time.

I'm aware that some (possibly even many) may find other tools from
Debian suitable (and commits don't need to be sent to the list
anymore, reducing that number further). So the above question is about
those that do still want/need a list?

Sorry for misrepresenting your intentions. Depending on the path
chosen by the list members your credentials (and willingness to help)
may both be in high demand, soon. ;)
