The new version of the SILC Toolkit is now available!  The source package
of the software is available from the following sources:

             http://silcnet.org/
             ftp://ftp.silcnet.org/

This maintenance release fixes several bugs, mainly for 64-bit big-endian 
machines.  Upgrading is recommended.

I also want to remind all application developers that haven't yet started
porting their applications from Toolkit 1.0 to 1.1, to not forget read the
porting manual at:

       http://silcnet.org/docs/toolkit/porting.html


Summary of Changes
------------------

o Fixed big-endian crash from AES code.

o Fixed SILC Atomic API for IA64.

o Fixed SILC pulic key identifier string parsing to check for lengths
   correctly, and encoding to check for mandatory fields corrrectly.

o Fixed integer overflow from USERS command reply handling in Client
   Library.

o Fixed possible alignment issues from SILC scheduler on 64-bit CPUs.

o Fixed user resolving timeout handling during JOIN notify from Client
   Library.

o Fixed possible buffer overflows from SILC Config API.

o Other fixes were also made.

in the source package.


Installation
------------

The source package is compiled and installed as instructed in the INSTALL
file found from the package.  Refer also to the building instructions in
the Toolkit Reference Manual:

Quick installation:

       ./configure
       make
       make install
