Package: sogo
Version: 5.0.1-4+deb11u1
Severity: normal
Tags: upstream

Dear Maintainer,

since the release of macOS Ventura in 2022-10, users of the accompanying
Apple Calender client application seem to be pretty much unable to use
CalDAV with SOGo to synchronize etc. their calendars. There is an
upstream bug report about this [1] and the issue seems to have been
fixed with the release of SOGo 5.8.1 [2] (the latest version of SOGo at
this time is 5.8.2 (which just seems to fix a regression introduced in
5.8.1)).

Most of the patches linked (in reverse order...) from the changelog
entry "Fix inaccessibility to personal calendar on Mac OS X Ventura." in
[2] can be cleanly applied to SOGo 5.0.1 from Debian Bullseye which
seemed to fix the issue in my tests. I haven't tried this with the
version in Bookworm, but would assume it's easier there if updating the
package to 5.8.2 is not an option anymore at this point in time.

Cheers,
Manfred
