  This was version 1.3.40-1?

Note I believe that the issue was resolved in v1.3.46-1 but that didn't make
into Debian Jessie.

That was resolved with 1.3.46. I will be looking into the possibility of
getting a version 1.3.46-2 updated package into jessie, but in the mean time
there is a version 1.3.46-1~bpo8+1 in jessie-backports.

Those also have been resolved in later package versions.
