I can understand your concerns. Unfortunately, Sympa doesn't support inclusion of other configuration files as far as I know.
This would allow us to put Debian specific settings like paths and Database configuration (from dbconfig-common) in separate
files and leave the main configuration file to the user. On the other hand, ClamAV packages are doing the same rewriting
and it seems that most people are OK with that. So another solution would be to improve the code to handling the
configuration file rewrites.
