If you take the trouble to do that, it might be worth considering moving
to a git repository instead of subversion. AFAIK, alioth has had support
for git for a while already.

Also see the stgit package.

Anyway, I've been pretty inactive in synfig packaging because all my
Debian time goes to cyrus-sasl2, so whoever does the work should decide.
