"Failed at step NAMESPACE" errors

Hello,

Since a month or so a few services fail to start on my system (Debian
Testing) and I'm having trouble bringing up a graphical session without
manual intervention.

Problematic daemons include colord and rtkit-daemon:

Failed at step NAMESPACE spawning /usr/lib/colord/colord: Operation not
permitted

My /tmp is a symlink to /var/tmp (because I like to keep my / clean):

$ ls -ld /tmp
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 8 Feb  2  2014 /tmp -> /var/tmp

Could this be related, and if so, how do I solve it? Should I fiddle
with tmpfiles.d or just abandon the symlinking?

Thanks for any pointers,

   Wouter Van Hemel
